This is the sweet card I made for my sweet hubby for Father's Day. I managed to fit it into 5 challenges. Here they are:
Cuttlebug Challenges-Be Inspired #36: Father's Day/Masculine card using grungeboard
Cuttlebug Spot #35: Father's Day/Masculine card (is that cheating---hee hee)
Heart Hugs Designs: Etsy Inspired---from the Naturally Felt shop (dino bag)
The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge#36: In the Jungle
Our Creative Corner: Border punches
What I used:
- grungeboard
- Distress inks: Peeled Paint and Tea Dye
- Cuttlebug embossing folders: Distressed Stripes and Mosaic
- olive green cs
- clear stamps by Studio G
- EK Success border embossing punch
- Dino from Basic Grey: Archaic line----chipboard
- kraft paper from The Paper Company
- pop dots
I embossed the grungeboard w/distressed stripes eb and inked up with Peeled Paint distress ink then added to card (made out of kraft paper); embossed a square of the kraft paper w/mosaic ef and inked over top w/Tea Dye distress ink; layered on a green panel onto card; added dino. Stamped sentiment on kraft paper and inked edges; cut strip of green cs and edged top and bottom w/embossing border punch. Layered stamped sentiment on top and pop-dotted onto card.

Very cool. I like the "tile" effect you created with the C.embossing folder. I LOVE that sentiment too!!! How did you do the green texture-y panel? I can't wait to see it IRL. I think I need that border punch ;)
That has got to be the cutest Father's Day card I've seen! The papers and embossing are wonderful! Thanks for playing along at The Cuttlebug Spot!
