Okay, so I kinda 'went to town' using all kinds of tools/embossing folders, inks on this one. This is for the Cuttlebug Challenges #33: Monogram Gift Sets challenge. This gift set is for my son's teacher who is getting married this summer. Her surname initial will be changing so this is perfect!!!
Huge list of tools and supplies:
Fiskar border punches: Effervescence, Upper Crest, Sunburst
Stampin' Up! punches: scalloped cirle and small top note punch (may have another name)
Paper Shapers photo corner punch
Stampin' Up! "S" Stamp: Best Friends Alphabet
Martha Stewart Doily Lace edge punch
Distress Inks: Broken China, Peeled Paint
various inkpads by See D's
Cuttlebug Embossing Folders: Dots and Spots, Swiss Dot, D'Vine Swirls, Argyle, Perfect Paisley, Bubbles, flourish corner punch ef
various ribbons
all cards by DCWV as well as some of the cs
all mini brads by Making Memories
Put all cards in acetate envelope and glued inside of folder that has additional mongrams on it and closed with belly wrapper to complete gift set.
Not gonna write out all that I did here, hopefully it is obvious. An electric die cut machine was actually starting to make sense today (hee hee). Hope you like it! And I REALLY hope the teacher does :)

Cuttlebug Challenges #32 Hearts/Butterflies

This book is my submission for Cuttlebug Challenges #32: Hearts and Butterflies. I obviously went with the hearts here. Made this cute little mini book for my son's teacher who is getting married this summer. The acrylic heart is difficult to see unless you click on photo for close-up.
Recipe:
  • red mini tag book by K&Company
  • cream and black cs
  • Martha Stewart Doily Lace edge punch
  • key charm by Lost and Found
  • 'yours' brad by Basic Grey
  • Fired Brick Distress inkpad
  • red chipboard heart and ghost acrylic heart both by Heidi Swapp
  • Cuttlebug Swiss Dot and D'Vine Swirls embossing folders
  • flourish rub-ons by Stampin Up!
  • antiqued silver eyelet (source unknown)
  • Crop-a-dile
  • red and black ribbon
  • scripted transparency by Basic Grey: Motifica papers
  • dictionary page with 'cherish' defined on it

I used the Cuttlebug embossing folders on both the chipboard and the acrylic heart (need to click on photo to see it in the close up). Made the tag out of black cs and edged with the Martha Stewart edge punch; mounted on cream tag and inked edges with sponge on Fired Brick Distress inkpad; cut strip out of dictionary and layer on black piece; cut tag out of the Basic Grey scripted transparency/acetate and layered on top of all; attached w/eyelet and added ribbon and charm; added sentiment brad to tiny tag that threads around button to close album; added flourishes for final touch. Hope you like it!

Basic Grey Challenge #35---Ice Cream

Here it mycard for the Basic Grey Challenge #35---Ice Cream! The challenge was to be inspired by your fav ice cream. Sounds weird but it has that whole nuts w/caramel thing goin' on! :)

Cuttlebug Challenges had the most awesome spa weekend event this past weekend. There were lots of tutorials and challenges. This is the only one I got to, unfortunately. Anyway, it is the Inspiration with Jennifer Mcguire: Using sanding with embossing folders.
Here I used:
red textured card by DCWV
dp---by Paper Pizazz: Red Music
black cs for mat
Used white core black cs for tag; embossed with Allegro embossing folder, then sanded to expose white core.
Stamped image and sentiment (from Inkadinkado) on white cs and edges with sponge and black ink.
antiqued silver large eyelety by Memories R Us; added black and white ribbon to tag
It is going to be a teacher thank you for my son's guitar teacher for teacher appreciation week.
