Cuttlebug Challenges: Cuttlebug meets Cupcake, Be Inspired #24

Here is my submission for the Cupcake Challenge on Cuttlebug Challenges this week. I just simply added glitter as the frosting on the cupcake----it really didn't need much more! I am loving these challenges! I used the Swiss Dots embossing folder on the white layer which was punched on top with the Fiskars Violets are Blue Oval border punch; used the music embossing folder on next pink layer (this card was supposed to contain an ITune gift card); used the cupcake postage stamp embossing folder on the top layer. And used the Fiskars Effervesence border punch on the black layer on the right side of card.

I'm loving all the layers and punched borders and what a perfect use of the music embossing folder! Thanks for joining us this week at Cuttlebug Challenges!

ohhhhh deanna!! i love this! LOVE IT!!!
You used an oval punch on a flat edge? Do tell your trick - please????? I think they have some of the prettiest punches!!! I've never bought them but if they can work on a flat edge too - that's all I need to know!! Will a circle one work as well? probably not, huh?

thanks again for joining us this week at Cuttlebug Challenge! Good luck with the giveaway!!

Did you see the addition regarding voting for the runner-up for the punch challenge? I pointed that out to Maggie and it's been added now! So be sure and go vote! And take the survey if you haven't already!

Best,
Cassie

Cassie,
Don't know if you check back here but, to answer your question, I just cut a piece of cs about the width of the cutting edge of the punch then punched it. It also worked on the four corners of a rectangle making them oval/rounded deco punched corners---turned our gorgeous! I found this out when experimenting with the punch during the CC #23---using punches in unusual ways :) ............deanna
